I'm working for a while on this beautiful casted 54mm MM French Officer.
I still have to touch and clean few details. Sabre and reins will follow. If everything goes well, I'll start the groundwork pretty soon.
Thanks a lot for watching and let me know what you think.
    Cheers,
    Zeno :)

    Very, very nice work.
I should go for more highlighting on the back of the horse. Looks all the same brown.

I think that's your best yet Zeno. Very nice face and good horse shades. It's shaping up to be a cracker!

    Thank you Pedro! :)
I used oils: Ivory Black , Dark Rust (502 Abteilung), Light Rust (502 Abteilung) and for second highlight I added to the Light Rust Naples Yellow and Ochre. For the hooves and sock I used acylics. Let me know if you want the acylics palette.
    Cheers,
    Zeno :)

Zeno, your work looks amazing , i really like your paintwork.
I will have to agree that the boots may need a little bit more contrast, to me the lapels will stan out more if you are a little bit more light, but that is a personal taste and should not count as a critique.
    Fine job (y)

Nice, did you give a "wash to the lapels?, it really looks great if you did, i am still experimenting with washes, but i see that you have a nice blend of the colors from dark to light .
Keep up the great work Zeno :)

This looks really good... are you a full-on Napoleonic convert? The horse is excellent, the uniform is very crisp and your flesh tones are spot on as always.
Any more Napoleonics palnned in the future?

    Cheers

As you said, Zeno, there are a couple of things that require some more work.
I like these carabiniers of the pre-cuirass period.
