    Hi!
Another figure. Now, it's another one that I painted for Art Girona:

The sculptor of the miniature is Raúl García Latorre, and it's based on the famous painting by Jean-Louis-Ernest Meissonier that portrays a French Arquebusier from early XVII century. Here, the only change I did regarding the tones of the painting was the shirt color, that I painted in a grey tone instead of the original yellow one:

    Hope you like it.

    Very nice as ever Fernando!

How did you do the grass Fernando? Did you airbrush it? It looks very well tied in with the groundwork.

    Cheers,
    Adrian

Thanks all for these comments. I relly enjoy showing you my works.

Well, I don't quite remember how I did this one, but I think I airbrushed a common color for the gras and the rest of the ground. After painting the ground itself, maybe I drybrushed a lighter tone on the grass and that's all.
I'll keep it in mind for a future detailed tutorial, if some of you like the idea ;)
    Regards

Again a great piece Fernando! Looks like you used much of the same colours for the flace as you showed us at the SMF workshop last year?!

Martin, I think that being a Raúl García Latorre sculpt it will be 70/75mm. I think that's what it says on Fernando's blog anyway.
    Superbly painted and presented.

    Oops!
Sorry, I missed the question. Yes it is a 75mm piece. Thanks for pointing it out, Mark.
Jan, the colors are, as you say, some of the ones we used in the Netherlands seminar. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to take accurate notes of the colors while painting this one :(
And thanks again for the comments ;)

This is some fine work Fernando. I like your color selections and the way you rendered the shadows and highlights.
