Hi everyone. Just finished this future release from Michael Miniatures. It's another beautifully sculpted piece by Carl Ried. I used mainly acrylics, with the exception of the face, which I finished with oils. Thanks for looking!

    Nice

That's a nifty bit of painting. Subtle whites, great shadows, nice details on medals and brilliant flesh tones.

    Jason,

Excellent paint job, as always. I also think that this particular bust from Michael Miniatures works a lot better than so many of the "half-figure" type. The cut-off is not distracting and the viewer's eye goes right to the face, as it should....

    Cool!

Nery nice Jason. Up to your usual standard. Did you use Printers Inks for metals?

    Hi jason
Amazing bust and too much work extremely bust.
I like the white paint is quite successful, but the band is really impressive

Thanks guys, your comments are much appreciated!

Mike S. - I used a very small amount of printers inks, most of the metal work was done with rub 'n buff.

Amazing work! The sash is out of this world. Is it taffeta?

    Thanks Rob and Mike!

Mike - I'm not sure what taffeta is, to be honest. The sash was silk as far as I know
