did some work in the sculpting section on Franka.
For some of you a well known character, illustrated by Henk Kuijpers.

In fact he's my favorite illustrator. Fabulous decors, great stories, great deformation on subjects but maintaining his own proportions.

it's time to try her in acrylics:

that's the thing with deformating, especially a comic that's already been deformed.
One has to play around with exagerated shapes and lines around, but detail in face.
this will emphasise the drawers' pencil.

sculpting a comic can be harder than more realistic persons, features are less visible.

It is a good looking figure, must admit I had to Google Franka but the sculpture looks very close to the drawn character .

Yes, I know, Franka is more known in Holland, France, Germany, Belgium and Spain. Nevertheless, the stories are great. The artist does perfect research for the settings.

this bust is a gift for the illustrator and intended so from the start.
