After seen Ernesto Reys his wonderfull painting on this 75 mm stunning sculpting from Maurizio Bruo for Pegaso i wanted to paint this figure to.
Knowing that my skills are far less then Ernesto i choose to give his version a try.
Well, i often wanted to repaint, strip or what so ever when i finished it. Knowing that i never get it done like Ernesto I give it a try to show it here.
Oke, i'm going into the deep now. If anybody has some remarks, comments, maybe some imperfections on the painting shoot to the messenger.
If nothing.....enjoy the look of a very difficult figure to paint and assemble.
Sorry for some blurred picture's. My camera let me down on the Macro.

Looking good Marc(y) this figure will always look good however it is painted. If you get the Macro sorted out it would be nice to see a closer view of the pattern you have painted on the bottom of the tunic at the front.

    Well done

Nice one Marc, I have this figure as well but haven't started it due its difficulty in painting it. Did you paint it in sub-assemblies, or build it first and then paint.

    Jim, thanks for looking.
The pattern is painted with a 000 serie 7 wich hold a very small point.
Then with a darker shade painting in a random pattern. After that highlight every spot, leaving here and there some untouched.
It was with try and error. Painted seven times before i was satisfied. So it was done on a very dry oilpaint.

    Ben,
Yes, i first made that all the parts fits very well.
    Then painted all in sub-assemblies.
Put it all together after painting and comes to the conclusion:(that there are still small gaps. So putty and painting again.
For me it and always in a mes when i'm working with sub-assemblies.
