Forrest at Shiloh

    While covering the confederate retreat at the battle of Shiiloh colonel (later major general) Nathen Bedford Forrest found himself surrounded by union troops, he eventually cut his way out and escaped by dragging a union soldier up on his horse behind him and using him as a shield. Both Forrest and his horse were wounded in the incident, the horse mortally.
    The figures in the vignette are largely scratch built, the horse is from michael roberts.I also used some shenandoah and historex spare parts.Forrest's torso is a much altered andrea's general custer with a historex head and andrea hat

    thanks for the kind comments guys,the actual coloours of the figures are darker than the photographs Jay,Iwas fiddling with the photographs in "photoshop"and rather liked the slightly washed out look.
