Two pole's of 9 meter. Nothing more. Tried the Matchpicker but that didn't work for me. I have to see a float.
Once tried to fish at see. But I find it more trowing the bait away. We have more salt water then creeks.
So I have to drive 1 hour before I'll be there.

I have a 13 meter pole myself and a couple of rods.
    Never done any sea fishing.
I hope you have a great day tomorrow and tight lines:).

    Hello Ralph,
Not too familiar with the situation with your Dad;.Hope all is well....but would like to ask the question;..Do you ever eat the fish that you catch?...Here on the shores of Lake Erie, northern Ohio... Fried Lake Perch is the best as far as eating goes. I used to fish for fun, but those days are over. Went deep sea fishing one time and took so much Dramamine for sea sickness the guy who was piloting the boat asked.....Do you want a beer?...No......Do you want a soda?..No....Do you want a water?...No....Do you want to talk?....NO!.............Other then that; It was one helluva good time.....:)

Nothing like a nice day out at place like the river or the beach to try and get your mind off worries Ralph!.... it can really clear your head and give you a break from the stress.

There is nothing worse than worrying about close family when there is a pretty serious medical problem, it is with you all the time.

Hope your Dad is ok mate!

    Cheer's,
    Jeff.

    Thanks about my Dad Wayne.
No I do not eat the fish I catch, they have to be put back. Most of the UK is like that unless you are fishing for Trout and Salmon.
Not sure what Dramamine is but it sounds like it knocked you silly:).
    All the best.
    Ralph.

I was fishing the Trap(my usual place).
Fishing the tip or tip fishing is a term used for quiver tipping.
The quiver tip registers a bite from the fish, the tip can move anywhere from a centimetre to a fair few centimetres.
    Watch this short clip.
When the end of the rod bends that is your bite from a fish.

    All the best to you.

    Hello my Friends.
Was not to sure to say about my fishing on Wednesday(5th July)
Anyway before I heard the sad news about my Dad I went fishing.
It was a good days fishing and I managed to catch about 50 fish alternating between the pole and tip fishing.
My Dad bought me my first ever fishing rod when I was young. It was Shakespeare 12' black Strike match rod and I can still remember the first fish I caught with it.
I'm dedicating Wednesdays fishing to my Dad as he was glad that I managed to get out fishing again this year.
    All the best.
    Ralph.
