First scratch (more or less)

    I all,

Ia m in process of getting some more new experiences with our hobby. I'll try to do my first scratch. It will be a confederate soldier (yes, another one).

I decide to use a Preiser figure as a base. I will use Magic Sculpt and Duro for modelling. The first step was to select a Shenandoah head and base boots.

Hope you can help me in the process because I am a rookie with this one.

    Rafa

Rafa - That's a great start!!! Glad to see you start sculpting! I like the trouser folds!!! The trouser half you've done is not too thick, but as has been mentioned so often in the past on this forum, be careful of the putty thickness when using a full anatomical form. You can end up with a very bulky looking fella unless you take care.

    All the best,
    Dan

Thanks a lot my friend. After the first attemps I'll go with the second one. I just paid my first novice problems but I decided to go with it. Attached you can find more pics..

Now I must wait until all is dried and go with sand paper...

Rafa i think the folds on the back of the right foot look too much even and parallelized. Maybe you need to maike them a little bit more random ..Its good that you progeress all the time

    Rafael,

I find the wrinkles on the right leg more natural then before. Good work.
