    I like the muted pallet, and I think this figure turned out nicely over all. It may be the photos, but it looks a bit muddy over all to me, and the flesh tones on the hands look a bit dark to me. Especially the right hand.

    Yep i would have to go with Jay. I miss seriously some contrast and i have a mudy feeling all overt he figure, with no clear area definitions. The muted colors are the right choice but the lack of contrast blends them all in one

    Great work!

    Jay, Costas, I disagree and actually like a lot the style of painting, he looks like being after the battle or simply dirty, details not crisply painted by classic modelling means, but looks very realistic (eg compared to a real photo), fits into the era of the topis as well.
