    Hi Steve

Certainly a very dashing seafaring fellow , that large sash will be very impressive painted

Of course the piece is a blank canvas in respect colours so we should see some interesting versions

    Thanks for sharing

I know I'm a detail-obsessed rivet counter - so please don't take offense at my following comments!

With "Erol" the sash/pistol combination doesn't work that way!

    These weapons had flintlocks...

... and they were quite protruding and wide...

... the pistol lock, like the whole weapon, should stand out much more clearly under the sash, especially when the sash is wound so tightly, as with "Erol"!

The pistol is stuck far too deep in the sash!

If "Erol" tried to pull it out to use it, it would either get caught in the sash (with the trigger or the powder pan!) or the pan would open, the powder trickling out - and the weapon would be unfired when drawn.

Maybe the manufacturer should rework there - but at the latest the customer...

It's more realistic this way - and also historically accurate...:

That would be great! The otherwise very well made figure would be significantly better with this change!

All I can say is, I have the first pirate in this set, and it looks blooming good up close.
But I can see that it may not be to everyone's taste.
The hobby would be boring if we all liked and painted the same thing.
That's what makes this hobby so great, as it covers so many interests.

Hi Wayne don’t quite get where your coming from but each to their own.

Malc your right everyone has their own thoughts on things and it would be very boring if everyone liked the same things.

Yes..... You are so right Steve........I am way too picky. I've been that way my whole life. You could ask my mother if she was still alive. Ignore me and keep up the good work.......
