    Following on from Tirpitz I'm staying with Germanic subjects but going back a century .....sculpted of course by David Grieve

    Currently he is basecoated on a base ,nameplate already sourced from Nameit!! , base from Pete Watson @ Pete's Bases

    Here's some versions done by other modellers including the box art ...all inspirational

    Looking forward to the sash !

    I am sure I will have fun ! ...it's a cracking sculpt ........Wellington will be on the way soon ....strangely not too keen on the Napoleon DG did despite the medals........although .......

    Is the portrait set in brilliants that Marshal Forward is wearing a portrait of Prince Regent George, or Wellington? From the painted portrait, it's hard to tell. It doesn't look like Frederick William, but from his hair and face-what can be seen in a portrait of a portrait-it looks more like George that Wellington.
    It will be a tricky detail to paint, in any case. I look forward to seeing more progress on this one, Kev!

    Patiently getting oiled up is this Marshall Vorwärts on my desk.

    Together with Mister Wellesley, these are two very good sculptures by David Grieve. For the Corsican there is no place in my collection.

    Sorry Brad for delay it's a miniature portrait of the Prince Regent, set with diamonds, which was conferred on him in the Grand Hall at Carlton House on 7 June 1814.
