    Hi Guys,

I just wanted to share some pics of my latest paint job. Aplogies for the dodgy pics, but Ive tried to reduce the glare a bit and I think Ive slightly overcooked it!!

Based on my original sculpt now available through MMM, this represents the alternative colour scheme and parts in the kit, to make a Fellah, Sudanese Army, Omdurman, 1897. I have tweaked the original so as to make it slightly different from my KAR bust. The fez has been battered a bit and I have added a bandolier, rather than use the blanket roll supplied in the kit. A big thanks to Steve Readdie for supplying me with the ammo belt, the loops on the bandolier made using Duro.

Still a way to go with the painting, crisping up, washes, drybrushing, etc and the addition of the metallics, but, hopefully, you get the idea!

    Thanks for looking,

    Steve(y)

    Thanks guys, much appreciated.
Keith - the skintones have been deceptively easy, far quicker than caucasian skintones! As I work in enamels, there are only 3 colours, Humbrol 98 chocolate basecoat, shadows mixed with 33 black and highlights with 64 leather, no more, no less! Oh, and 70 rust for inside the mouth.
    Thanks again chaps!

Cheers for sharing the mixes Steve.
It may be easy Mate but it is very effective for 3/4 colours.
    All the very best,
    Keith

Thanks again, Keith. It just fell together in no time - I often chase it round for ages until it looks right! I will crack on with the leatherwork and equipment tomorrow, hopefully, it'll be ready for the weekend! Just a base to make now...!
    Cheers,
