WIP Feeling my way with a Verlinden USAAF Pilot

    Hi all,some might recall 9 moths I previously posted this figure as I am getting into figures. Then came covid and all went pear shaped. So I have stripped back and are having another bash any help gladly recieved.

    Ps all uniform shirt life jacket is based coated only so far

    Nice neat basecoating , I woukd aim for a slight difference in final colour between the helmet and jkt

    Great progress , yiur certainly getting there , I think the jacket looks fine , but would darken the seams ( you coukd run a wash along ) a bit more where the pieces are joined together , possibly a tiny bit more highs on jkt but not too much

    Good on you for persevering with this , your learning a lot for sure and it's good to see this coming to life

    Happy new year all , might need a bit of help ,not far of compleating need a bit of advice do I need to work more highlight a or shadows also does the lids need lightening up around eyes
    Any help apreciated ......... Richard

    I would add some more highlights on the forehead and cheekbones

    I must say that the eyes looks great

    HNY to you as well , nice to see this nearing completion

    You could put as Martin says highs on forehead/cheekbones but do it very gradually , I think the area around the eyes looks really good so wouldn't touch it

    Agree ref comment on the eyes ..nice brushwork

    Just remember you learn something everytime you pick a brush up

    Hi all as I'm new to figures was trying to get to a stage of finishing this piece. Well all went pear shape
    Doh! So I'm back to square one trying techniques I've read , so it is still alive but slow

    Hi all learning the dark art at a precarious stage as self teaching not sure where I'm going now, or to stop incase it goes pear shaped... like 3 weeks ago.
