Excellent work Richard, really is. They're completely round and the colours are spot on. Any criticism would be mega hyper over the top. A super job there. You won't be able to paint those teeth any smaller though...;)

Paint the rest to the same standard and it will be an amazing figure.

Great job so far, Richard - the way you've painted the eyes is far better than the original VP box art photo.
Good Luck with his choppers though, as BP says above. They look like the keys of a NAAFI piano...…..

Great job on the eyes. Much better than the box art indeed.

Make sure you keep the teeth rather dark, e.g. By mixing quite a bit of burnt umber with white. The box art is a textbook example of how NOT to do it...with pure white.

    Looking forward to your progress.

    Cheers,
    Adrian

Looks pretty good to me, Richard. The subtle highlights on the nose are good & well blended, resisting the temptation to make them even lighter at this stage is difficult, but if you’re happy with them then leave well alone!
The eyes look excellent, & this is becoming a face with more character than the sculptor probably intended.

Keep at it, & looking forward to seeing your next instalment!

Looks great, Richard. You’ve toned down the teeth a bit, so they don’t look so prominent - good idea.

    Lol... Yes you're right!
Funny, some people were commenting about the Bust teeth, but it would seem that the real pilot on the picture has even larger teeth

You're doing a great work, definitely going in the right direction IMHO! (y)

    Hi Richard

Good reference picture to have , it certainly does look like him

Nice to see updates on this coming along nicely

I find once you have painted the surround of the face in this case the helmet it will bring the fleshwork even more out

Well well! I take it all back about the teeth! That bloke had a real set of Hampsteads on him.

You are doing very well with this. Chris is 100% spot on - avoid the temptation to 'over paint' things. You must be happy with this so far though. Sorry to see you struggle with such a debilitating wrist condition.
