WIP Critique Fantasy Female Crusader (Reedees)

The last weeks I was tied up in work and festivities which kept me from spending much time on the forum :(. But I managed to get some paintwork done for the upcoming release from Reedees Miniatures. Steve asked me to paint the box-art so hopefully I can create some nice paintwork. It's a 75mm Fantasy Female Crusader which is sculpted by Steve.
I started a usual with the face, and this time I used some different colors for the skin mixture. For the hair I first tried a blond look but I was not satisfied so I changed it to red.
Most of the work on the head is done, only some small corrections have to be made. For the surcoat I applied the first highlights and shadow and now the blending will start. I hope to make some good progress in the coming days in the always busy December month.
Here are the pictures, all comments are welcome!

    Cheers,
    Marcel.

This looks like a very interesting Female Fantasy figure from Steve Readdie.
I've seen a lot of pictures of it, and really like what I've seen. Hopefully,
Steve's new company Reedees Miniatures will get off the ground and become
a big success. I just had a preliminary look at his new web site, recently!

You have made a good start. The Red hair is nice, altho my personal tastes
would like to see the highlights in the hair even lighter. Keep us posted on
how this goes. And good luck,

    Jayhawker

Thanks for the comments Costas, Rick, Marc, Pedro, Dimitrios, Gordy, John, Carl, Anthony, Ken and Mitsutaka. Much appreciated.

Rick: I agree with you on the red hair. The photo's washed out a bit the contrast so I will give it a bit more.

    Cheers,
    Marcel.

    Thanks Tony and Steve!
Here is a little update. I did some more work on the hair and some other small corrections. And I made a start with the heraldry on the surcoat. Now I have to correct the mistakes and smooth all the transitions.

    Cheers,
    Marcel.
