I was able to finish Erik a day early than what I anticipated and just finished shooting some so so photographs of him. The figure originally had tan and blue checked trousers but after looking at it for hours I decided to change them to all blue. The checkered pants just didn't fit Erik The Red.

This was an excellent kit with minimal clean-up needed and along with a Custom Foundation base from my friend Steve Scott, of Tulsa made for a great combination. The base was painted in the rocky area and the end highlight was pure white gently dry-brushed on the edges of the rocks.

Comments welcomed.

Sorry for the poor quality of photos......it was just too hot with the photo lamps on so I took them quickly.

He looks awesome! I was really looking forward to the checked pants but I understand why you changed them. So now I need to know how you got that awesome base from Steve before I did! I am loving the combo of the figure on that incredible base. just goes to show you that an artist making bases for artists is a great combo. Again, well done sir.

Thanks Mike. I am surprised I got that base before you did too.....lol. Just wait until you see the next one.

Thanks Kreston for the comment. Much appreciated.

Guy a lovely figure and your painting just finishes it off perfectly. Have to say that anyone brave enough to tell Erik the Red, he needs new trousers has to be a good painter.
These Scale 75 figures look very good.

He looks wild. You wouldn't even think of making a pass at his Mrs would you?!

Lovely work Guy, and that base sets the figure off a treat.

I had a close look at a couple of Scale 75 figures in their boxes for the first time yesterday at Figureworld, and was very impressed by the overall quality. The fit and the casting are top-notch.
