Here is my very first entry for FOTM, I thought it was about time I participated
Although only finished in 2019 the figure was an old kit I got from an online auction site
A Stormtrooper 200mm figure sculpted by Maurice Corry of a 12th SS HJ MG42 gunner Normandy 1944
Based on the photo of SS Schutze Klaus Schuh in Rots, 9th June 1944
Some conversion took place in the form of two side pockets being removed and a single leg pocket and flap being sculpted to fit in more with the
original uniform spec. The MG 42 sling and fittings are scratch built as well as the addition of the shoulder stock buffer screw.

All finished using Vallejo model colour acrylic's

Oak wooden base cut and machined by me

Name plate by the great Name It team

Not the easiest of builds and paints especially the M29 Telo Memetico Camouflage but I'm happy how it turned out,
and as usual with all my busts and figures dirtied down for a true combat look

    Thanks for looking KS_01.JPG KS_02.JPG KS_03.JPG KS_04.JPG KS_05.JPG

Some of you may have seen my "Blasts from the Past" post where I was also inspired to start this old Poste Militaire mounted samurai. Here it is finally finished. I think I finally got close to the effect I so desperately wanted to achieve when I first painted this kit as a teenager. Far easier these days with acrylics and an airbrush and possibly some improvement in skills!
