Hello friends. Here I show you this English grenadier of 1751. The figure is modeled by Maurizio Bruno. I always have liked the uniforms of the XVIII century, so when I saw this figure I immediately bought it for painting. The quality of modeling is very good as well with slight variations in the miter, may paint other regiments of British grenadiers of this era.
With this figure I got the bronze medal in his category, in the international contest, city of San Sebastian.

I sure like the painting you have done on this guy. I think finishing the groundwork to the edge of the base would be nice to do. Congrats on the award!

Very nice job on the red coat. What colors did you use here? I really like the 75mm scale for figures. I just have a few 54mm figures to finish up and then I can paint a 75mm figure I recently bought.

Thanks to all friends for your compliments. Meehan, you´re right, maybe it would be better if the ground gets to the edge of the base. It wouldn´t be difficult use milliput or epoxy putty to make grow the ground, paint it, and then put some stone here and there and a little bit of grass.

About the colors Jim, I use acrylics. Vermilion 947 Red from Vallejo Model Color, for base, the same red with a lithe bit of dark brown and white for the shadows. Adding the white I give a slighty greyish tone to the mix. The same red with a little bit of yellow and white for the lights.

I can´t be more specific because, I always use the basics to make all the range of colors. This is my palette: Vermilion red, medium blue, medium green, lemon yellow, dark brown, ocher, black and white.
So, I make all the colors using these.

Tank you also for watch and comment, Daniel, Mike Stevens, Ronnie ( I hope to see your figure soon), Philippe, Meizi, Roger, Alexandros, Konstantin, Pedro( Obrigado pelo seu comentário) and Theofilos.
    Cheers

Very nicely painted figure and I think the worn/distressed leather effects on the pouch are tremendous. Great figure!

Thank you for posting the pics.

Rob, Rodrigo, Brian and Gary, thank you for take a look and comment. Fortunately, the drawings of the miter, are well recorded, so it's easy to draw. But the drawing of the lace has to be made freehand.
    Cheers.
