Thanks Davis and John for the feedback. She is actually "whiter" than what the photos portray. Once I get the collar finished and up and around her head you will see the difference.

Very Good ! Guy, yes definitely very challenging skin tone loved the bust when I first saw it a couple of months ago, but was put off by the light tones everywhere.

Will be great to see yours finished as I'm sure it will look very good and will please the recipient no end.

    Thanks for posting, RobH.

    Hello, Guy.
It builds into a wonderful bust model.
Flesh color is wonderful as everyone says.
I can't take out such color.
    Person's European face.
Small decoration is also amazing very much.
    I congratulate completion.

Now I have begun on the bust shoulder section by spray priming the bust with Floquil R9 light gray primer as seen below.

    Elizabeth 27.JPG

Next I outline all of the different edges to the cloth with a medium gray enamel. I started on the very front and will work to each side / shoulder with the back being last.

    Elizabeth 28.JPG

Next I have added white to the tops of the fabric and with clean thinner blended this in with the gray edging.

While the white blending and shading from above is drying I took dark brown and base coated all of the gold jewelry as seen below.

I have given the dress its first white dry-brushing lightly with a flat brush and dry-fit assembled the head and shoulders to get an idea of how it will look overall.

Next I will repeat the dry-brushing with white on the dress several more times with a drying period between each dry-brushing. I will also start on the back as this is the largest area of the dress.

    All comments welcomed.
    More to come.

Below is the chest dry-brushed with white over the blended and shaded step.

The top photo below shows the outlining on the back followed by the white added to the top of the fabric and the bottom photo shows the two colors blended.

Below the dry-brushing with white begins with the 1st dry-brushing.

Below all of the Pearls are re-primered and after drying they will get several coats of Humbrol Ivory.
