My Version of El Greco"s spartan Bust78366
Fantastic job! This looks amazing! Did you use acrylics or oils for the reds?
its all in oils
Turned out well Ron. You got there with the chest wig in the end.
Looking good Ronnie hope to see it on Sat.
Ron an excellent finish and great work on the flesh tones.
Hi Ron, really good flesh tones, well done!
Thanx for the kind comments
Ronnie the Red is a mix of Cadmium red deep, van Goch and venetian red by old Holland
and the lights are Cadmium scarlet Windsor and Newton
Hi Ron - Great paint job on this one. I especially like the red on the cloak! Well done to you mate
Brilliant Ronnie, love thered in the cloak and your (his) plume is superb. Made a great job of this one. Is this one of your Euro busts?
Sorry I couldnt get to see it today
Stunning paintwork Ron.
One remark: his right eye has a larger Iris then the left.
(I know it is a difficult task to get them equale, but on this scale it looks strange when they are not)
Sorry for neatpicking
Great paintjob, Ron! Love the red,
Turned well Ron!
You are right Marc it does need a little adjustment, entered it in the IPMS show
in Glasgow alongside Dave Mitchell's stuff , he also pointed that fault out so will correct it tomorrow but need to get a new fine detail brush.
They don't get much nicer a bust than this to paint,
almost right out the box, wish Matt would do some Napoleonics
perhaps a nice scout lancer or something
ron, excellently done!
