The prince in all his glory

Nice looking piece , the artist shows the heraldry well , a challenge to paint but well worth the concentration

    Thanks for sharing

Very nice figure, and excellently painted.

However, Edward III was not the Black Prince.
Edward of Woodstock, known to history as the Black Prince, was the eldest son and heir apparent of King Edward III of England. He died before his father and so his son, Richard II, succeeded to the throne instead.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

You're right Nap, heraldry not easy to paint, but worth it:happy:

    Hi Simon,
Thanks, yes, Ugo Pozzati painted it with the heraldry he presumably had in the tournament.
Ezio Pannitteri, sculpted the armor really wonderfully
