    Hello again fellow Planet Figurerers.

Last week I had the week off so I had the chance to finish this beautiful piece released from Pegaso and sculpted by Maurizio Bruno. I hope you like it and of course any comments and critics are welcomed.

P.S. The title of the figure is Duke of Brunswick infantryman 1809 and not 1806 as stated on the topic.

Xenofan, very nice, maybe some more shadows and highlights on the face, what do you think?

    Keep up the good work.

Daniel, Roc and Christos thanks a lot my friends for the encouraging words.
Roc, it's all about the photos. The face is much more shaded and highlighted in reality.

Xenofon - Using a black backdrop for color photography can be an adventure! Suggest you try a flat medium blue several shades lighter than the uniform color or a dark grey possibly. Are you using flash on your camera? If yes, I would turn it off. Don't light the figure directly, instead try reflecting a fairly strong light off a matte painted wall if you have one. Hope this helps!

Of course if none of the above works, try taking the photos outside in early morning or late afternoon natural light. Still my favorite.

    All the best,
    Dan

Marc, Daniel and Ray, thanks a lot for your kind words and advices.

I will reshoot today with a different background and different light position. I don't use flash at all.
    Lets see what will happen.
    Thanks again.

    very well done
if I should add something, I would try to put a little shade on the horse. But it looks really good. Nice groundwork. Love the 'track' the cannonball made.
