Here's my latest project based on a print from Benigni. It is Historex conversion of a drummer of the 19th Dragoons. It is about 90% Historex, with a Michael Roberts horse head, a little Magic Sculpt, and my plastic covered paper for all the straps. Painted in acrylics, and printers ink for the metals.
Comments are welcome. Thanks for looking.
    Best Regards,

    Rod

That looks great love the uniform colour a real hard colour IMO and you gave nailed it

Like also the fact it's a mounted drummer this together with a fine looking horse makes this a lovely bit of modelling

    Thanks for sharing

    Hi Rod,

It's superb. I do have a question - how is the drum suspended?

    Brilliant conversion Rod.
I had forgot that tenor drums were used in favour of timpani.
I really like that interactive pose of horse and drummer.
    Great work.

Wonderful, not only a good painted figure, but the horse as well.

Lovely conversion and an excellent paint job-I don't think I have ever seen a drummer portrayed like this in model form before. Well done for producing something unique.

Beautiful. And a very accurate recreation of the print artwork too - the horse pose is spot on (as is everything else). Inspiring.

Fantastic. Love what you've done with that wonderful medium.

You've also got the colours perfectly in my opinion. Please Would you mind sharing the palette?

    Cheers

Like it! Nice to see such unusual subject matter. Why can't the big companies show the same originality?

I really like it. I wish I have the guts to pull out that great box of Historex that is laying here behind me.
Alot off potential in it, but I don't dare.
