Completed Dock worker

I’m trying something a bit different, I had the idea while painting the dining room and I’ve decided to revisit my non combatant interest in the war with a dock worker. Thought I’d share my progress to date before it all goes horribly wrong when I try make him paint splashed.
1/35 modified skp figure, hornet head, minimart arms, sovereign feet, these things would be so much cheaper if I could sculpt.
    Thanks for looking.

Wow, never mind being able to sculpt, I wish I could Frankenstein figures like that. Very nice, and a good reminder that wars not not just won by soldiers on the frontline.

    Very original and clever idea!

Does the beam support the ship hull?

Yes you've done a fantastic job on him so far but be very careful!!

I once saw a fabulous Spitfire build by a very talented modeller ruined because he'd seen photos of the real thing on which the D-Day invasion stripes were slapdashed on willy-nilly with rollers rather than painted straight and even. End result when he tried to reproduce it? It looked like he'd handed his beautifully-done model over to a four year-old to finish. It just did not work in scale.

Sometimes less is more! Good luck though if you do attempt it.

Brilliant! And the way you have done the base is so clever (with the hull "suspended" from the plank). This will be a wonderful little vignette.

Wow thanks for the overwhelmingly kind comments.
Yes . It has a paper clip through the middle to support the weight originally I intended it to hang from his roller but it was too heavy.
Lol thanks for the confidence boost
