    Hello All,
With most parts done bar the bayonet and entrenching handle ,this is basically how the pair look together.I might yet redo the hair on the wounded guy.
    Comments welcome .

Brilliant is the word! You can put me down for one also, if for nothing else but to study your technique! A tricky pose, masterfully executed!

    All the best,

    awesome!
    As usual.
I agree, the wounded guy's hair needs to respond to the pull of gravity a bit.......but other than that another masterpiece!

Amazing job, Andy! I have an old book by John Masefield about Galipoli, published in 1919, with contemporary photos in - this is one of those emotive pics!
    Fantastic stuff!

Hi Andy...a great concept and sculpt...but...the classic and proper firemans carry would have the wounded mans left arm coming over the right side of the carriers head...opposite to your rendition. IMHO...this would better balance the work and allow for the rifle to be over the wounded mans back. Am sure men were carried this way in "the heat of battle"...but it appears a bit awkward as shown.
That having been said, I buy this piece as is and make the adjustments...it is a great bit of sculpting and an emotional piece.

Cracking job Andy, a complex piece of planning on this winner.
As Colin says a good sense of weight and effort without being overdone.
Love the 'I might have been shot but there's no way I'm dropping my hat attitude.
    Cheers
    Derek
