Finally finished this 75mm Cossack from Irbis miniatures.
It started as a commission for my father back in December. He took sick around the same time so progress got slow... far too much going on. When Dad passed in April, I put the figure aside... just didn't want to look at it. I'm glad I finally finished... This one's for the Old Man.

The Zaporozhian Cossack, self styled Knight of the Most Holy Orthodox Church, Protector of Glorious Ukraine....

Painted with Vallejo and Andrea acrylics. Base is home cut and polished chunk of Locus. Groundwork is sculpted with Apoxie Clay. Plants are ready made model railroad items and the wee offering basket is Historex.
Thanx to Alexey from Irbis for replacing the musket/arms that my damn cat Shooter ate.

When I showed Dad the three Cossack from Irbis, he immediately had me order them up to be added to his "Cossack Collection". I'm glad I finished him off... they almost got tossed more than once. Next will be the two mounted cossacks to finish the set. If the Old Man had seen the "Repin Diorama" from Irbis, I'd be elbows deep in that too by now. Who am I kidding? I'll be doing that one anyway.

Colin, I'm sure Shooter enjoyed eating the musket but if I got my wish when I found out what he did... then it came out of him sideways. That'll learn the little bugger
