Excellent start David. I'm looking forward very much to your treatment of this beauty!
By the way, could you elaborate a bit on how you achieved the metal finish? That would be a great help...! Thanks.
Nice tone-shift on the metals
Beautiful paint David, my compliment Luca
Thanks Gunther,Adrian,Gordy and Luca for your appreciation.Adrian the metals where painted with Games Workshop metallic paints.Starting with Tin Bitz followed by varying shades of Shining Gold,Brazen Brass and Burnished Gold after this I applied washes with Chestnut ink and Dark green ink, final highlights are gold printers ink.
Looking great already Dave and yes go for the airbrush by all means
Thanks Ray still plucking up the courage to use the airbrush.
very nice work
Great work Dave, looking forward to seeing the finished article, dont worry mate about the airbrushing i'm sure you'll handle it ok,i was nervous about using mine a couple of years back but they're great and the finish is so smooth, horses are ideal for practising with larger areas to work on than figures paticulary for the musle tones which are prominent on horses.
Dave Andrea press have a good book about painting horses which i found an interesting read, anyway good luck mate.
Thanks for the info on your golds David!
Will be following your progress...
Thanks Roberto and Brian, will check out that book from Andrea and thanks for the encouragement.

Any more progress on this?
Tommi I have been watching this figure progress over the weeks and it is super.
With a bit of luck the general public will be able to see the completed figure within a week or two.
As member of the general public let me state that I very much look forward to that moment.
Adrian I am sure the general public will be delighted with what they see.
At least you picked up my little joke!
Have been watching Davie progress with this one and I think its one of his best and the base its mounted on is super. I am sure you will enjoy it.
