Almost there I think, comments welcome.

A reminder of the illustration Dan used as inspiration, I hope he likes it.

    Roger,
Looks great and I keep grunting for the guys doing the lifting. I think that might help them.

    Hi Roger and Dan

very nice scene and what is more important for me: a very good sculpting and painting job. As the others said: You can see and feel the mud

    Hi Roger,
If you go to the Army Museum at the "Invaildes" you'll find a bad surprise, the reason why I did not go last spring in Paris. The galleries of the 1st and 2nd Empire are closed for works in progress. They will open again only next year with some changes, I think negative for the visitors. More multimedial supports, but less and less uniforms, weapons and objects in the windows.
But you can enjoy with all the Middle Age galleries, watching at swords, helms, armours, shields, and something also of the period you like, armoured cars too, if I remember correct.
    Nice trip

That is bad news indeed Marcello, I was there last year and thought it would be all open by now. oh well, I'll have to go back every year 'til I see it all.
    Thanks very much Matthew.

    Roger,
You did a good job on Dan's Somme vignette. I was in Flanders Field last week for the 14 th time (it is only 1 1/2 hour drive) and on Hill 60.
Well, it must be there as you painted it. No environment except for the rat's.
    People shouldn't lived there.
