    Hi PF member friends :)

I started to paint this bust from United Miniatures Empires.

Only the face and hair are paint (I still have some details to correct).

As usually now, I undercoated with Humbrol n°84 with an airbrush.

The skine tones : Brown Madder + Yellow Ochre + Carmine Alizarin.
Shades : Burnt Umbre, Ultramar Blue, Viridian Hue Green
Highlights : flesh teint, yellow deep, white, and for cold parts flesh teint + green.

I try to use this source of light (instead of the now classical zenith light):

Any comment and critics are welcome.

Hey Jean Paul, nice painting as usual. It is me or lately you are working (enhancing) a bit more the overall contrast ? I like those highlights, ending them in white will give you a great effect. Maybe just a little smoothing on the lips is needed ?

    Hello JP<

This is looking very promising. I always liked this way off painting. The Zenith Lighting is unnatural. It is just at the 0 meridiaan where the sun is just right above you at 12:00 hour.
So, in my opinion you are painting the figure in his naturale light, and that is a challenge.
It looks like it is gonna work.

    Hi all,

    thx for your nice comments.

Luca, my friend, I of course will adjust my finals light to make the overall looks good. For now I stopped my highlights with Yellows and small part of white. I'd like to simulate intense hot sun. Btw that s why the lips look cracky, he's thirsty.....

JP excellent work so far. The flesh tones are spot-on! Funny you should mention the lips, I can see lots of extra work there. I like the fact that you are adding to his forlorn look. Keep us posted!
