    All,
I have started this flat over the weekend. It is about 90mm, made by Historia Muller. It depicts a Crow indian and his pony, around 1860. I am painting it in oils over a white primer base. The figure is about 40% complete. The horse is about done. I am going to work the bead work detail next and then make corrections. There is an american dime next to the flat that I have mounted on a black piece of matting that use for painting. This gives an idea of the real size of the flat.

    All,

Have almost finished the horse. Have some shadows to apply to the hoof. Started laying in the pattern on the front of his shirt. The pattern will be blue and reds.

    All,

I have worked on the face some. Lengthened the mouth and worked the shawdows on the face. Worked on the horse hooves and laid the basic colors for the bead work. Will start on outlining/shadows of beadwork and work on the sheild next.

    All,

Getting towards the end now. I have finshied laying in the bead work. I need too add some shadows to it, the breach cloth, and shield. After that I have a fram from WalMat with an off white matt. The figure will reside on a back velvet background which should make the colors stand out.

    All,

Here is the finished figure for now. I have framed and matted it. It is sitting on a black velvet backgound. The matt is a light, off white. The frame is a nice, wooden frame finished in a red tinted stain. Both the frame and matt are from WalMart and cost only $5 US for both.

    All right, Ed!
Excellent work - bring that bad boy to the next club meeting you can attend so I can see it 'up close and personal'. This one is very nice.
