Through the good care of Dmitri Baev of Soga Miniatures I received a kit of a new 120mm offering from Corsar Rex, "CR-16001 Russian soldier, elite assault troops" sculpted by Igor Kordyukov. Having no decent camera at hand, I join some scans of what you might expect from this kit.

As can be seen the kit comes in 7 well cast pieces, the figure cast as one except for the hands, all in a rather dark "panzer grey" resin, with minimal flash. Posture is simple without being too static, somewhat reminiscent of soviet-style war memorial sculpture if I may say so. There is a choice of headgear, either the M1940 steel helmet or the ubiquitous 'ushanka'. Pieces include a waterbottle and a bayonet/knife. The figure clad in a bulky one-piece camouflage suit holds a folding-stock PPS43.

Assembly should be very straightforward, painting of the camouflage in one of the many patterns existing might be challenging!
In my opinion a very wellcome addition to any Soviet WW2 collection
