Here are some pictures of the Young bust that I did a little converting on.

I removed the parachute scarf and replaced that with a shirt made from Magic Sculpt. I also removed the ammo bandoleer as the bust would have a Carbine. I scratch built the Carbine from brass tube for the barrel. Then wrapped a small piece of thin lead sheet for the sight and drilled holes in the sight. Added the front blade with Magic Sculpt. The barrel was added to a piece of sprue and the stock built up with Magic Sculpt. The sling is made from lead sheet. A simple conversion, but a different look.

Might be simple conversions but they are very effective and make for a nice change with this bust, real nice job on the painting also.

Thanks everyone. Young's busts are so great that there is very little to change on them. I thought the Carbine was a differant touch. We see the M1 and the Thompson SMG often but not the Carbine.

    Young Miniatures Conversion

Nick, I really like your conversion of the Young Miniatures bust. Neat touch to add the carbine. I like that kind of imagination!

Would love to see Young come out with a FFL figure from WWII.

Hope to get one of your Missouri Guerrilla busts one day.

Thanks you guys, I would like to make the whole M1A1 Paratroop Carbine for a figure one day, but this was all I needed this time.
Terry, contact me and I'll make you a deal on that Guerrilla!

Thanks Carl and Steve. The figure is being donated to a 101st Abn. Div. Chapter, who will present it to a vet who jumped at Normandy. He also carried a Carbine, so I did the conversion for him. I sure hope he likes it!

Thanks Ken. My old Regiment the 3rd Inf Regt "The Old Guard" requested a figure for the annual reunion. The request was for the 1827 1st Sargent . So I have that to do for them. They sell it at the reunion to help out on the expenses.
