Yes I have built and painted this GEM a few years ago for a cheap commision :( and have been REGRETTING it ever since that on SUCH A MASTERPIECE by ONE OF THE WORLD'S TOP SCULPTORS Adriano Laruccia, I only managed 50% of my meagre painting abilities (well who can blame me when the commision was 50% less then the norm :( )

So, one fine club meeting last year if I am not mistaken (maybe it was even further back as well), a club mate wanted to offload this beauty from his grey army, so I pounced on the chance of cleansing my concsience off that mortal sin I committed with the first Consul of Rome :(

To console myself, and even before I had the chance to buy this beauty, I had SAVED the initial base + terrain (the half price commision only got a half effort of a base + terrain lol ) with another Consul in mind eventually :)))

This piece had some detail missing from three front pteruges, the lower front rim on the right cheeck guard, the right shoulder cuirass strap, upper lip as well which I corrected/rebuilt with MS :(

And after all that chatter, he's ready to be primed :) which actually he is but not yet, not yet :)

the only thing is the very strange animated pose.look like an whoopsie day when he is about to start to dance to singing in the rain.maybe the arm somewhat lower so its looking not so pansy
i have done it one mine and like it better this way.
    cheers

really looking forward to seeing this one progress and hopefully at Euro next year.
I know what Markus means but I wouldn't change the pose, the whole message I get is more one of posed affected arrogance rather than pansy-ish.
    Cheers
