This is the Michael Roberts Private 33rd Alabama kit. I got it as an easy, quick build and paint job. But, being like a lot of us are, could'nt leave well enough alone. So I did a small conversion. This is actually my 1st conversion. I switched the rifle from the right shoulder to the left hand and to the ground. Then used the coffee cup and put it in his right hand. It was fun!

After seeing the fantastic quality at Tulsa, I knew where I had to improve as far as painting. Even though I'm not where I want to be yet, I was overall very pleased with the outcome.

Please enjoy the pictures and comment or critique if you would like.

Excellent work on the simple conversion Brad. I like the results as well as the painting. Look forward to seeing this figure next year at Tulsa.

Brad this is a perfect example of a simple conversion. Excellent job on the transition from the stock kit. This is a great way to make your piece unique from the others. This was a very popular kit, and justly so. Small changes have created new interest. Painting is looking good as well. Looking forward to seeing it in the round.

Brad, congratulations on a job well done for your first conversion. You do not have to do anything elaborate to make your figure look different from the stock kit.~Gary
