Well, here is the finished figure. I really enjoyed painting this figure and think that it is a really nice and easy paint. I have finished up the figure for Mike but found out that I had made a boo boo, :( I was to have put his rifle on upside down. I did not realize this until to late. :(

Here are a few pictures of the figure. I think that anyone with an interest in the Rev War will enjoy this figure.

Answered the other post before I saw this thread.

    Thats a GREAT figure, Joe!

In my humble opinion should you keep this painting style. Perhaps some weathring though.

I llike the whites a lot. The skin tones are much lighter in these pictures and I think these are a step forward as well. I especially like the shading and highlightning of his left hand.

    Cheers

Great work Joe! Is it just me, or does this guy have some skinny legs? Upside-down rifle and all, I like it!

Very nice indeed Joe and has prompted me to have a closer a look at Rev War uniforms, a subject that I know very little about.

    Hi Joe,
    Great figure and painting.
I have to agree with Jay... his legs look a little on the
thin side... but I like the figure.
I am really studying your whites.... I like how you did
it. I think I mentioned before... my next figure has a lot
    of white.

Joe, Nice job on the boxart. Though the legs appear thin, my aim was to give the figure a physique that was of the period. All too often manufacturers seem to produce figures that have the build of our modern day cousins.~Gary

Looks good, Joe. Are you going to flip the rifle for the box art photo?

Thank you all for the kind words. I agree the legs are on the small side but in person they do not look that small, I think it may have been the pictures.

    Janne,

Thanks. I am still trying to tweak the painting but like what I have been doing better. I agree, I too like the left hand, it is the better one of the two.

    Dee,

Good luck on your next figure with the whites. What is the figure? I enjoy painting white and will be doing more in the very near future.

    Kreston,

Thanks and no I will not have time to change the rifle. I have it epoxied to the figure and hand and to remove it will require alot of work and time and I have other figures that I have to finish up before Labor Day.

Looks very good! Great shadows and lights, the red looks promising, the whole colour combination is a winner! Great work!
