Colonel Turner Ashby

    This is the completed figuure of the one I posted a little while ago at the pre -painting stage,it was inspired by a John Paul Strain painting
    Ashby is depicted mounted on his milk white stallion Tom Telegraph.The fox hunting horn strapped to his saddle was used by him to rally his troops.
    Asby was Stonewall Jackson's cavalry commander in the Shenandoah Valley campaign,he was killed in a fight with the 13th Pa regt,the bucktails,on the 5th June 1862,the day after being promoted to brigadier general.
    Thefigure comprises some scratchbuilding supplemented by parts from Andrea,Pegaso,and Historex.The figure is painted in oils.

    Well animated - nicely built and painted. Action poses aren't the easiest but you've made a good job of this one.
