    John, looking real good. The pose looks very natural. Also, great trick on making the buttons. I have a die punch set but might try this out in anycase.

    I have a Eastern Woodland Indian in the hopper. It's a conversion on a Tamiya Samurai.

    Here's the latest update. He is posed sans canteen. It's nearly ready for paint. BTW, I tried the shoestring tip you gave me. Worked like a charm.

    I talked to a jewelry maker about making thin strands for laces, embroidery etc. and they said that this is common in jewelry making and in fact there is a tool for it. They are called dispensing tools:

    Some are as simple as a syringe with various tips and others are more elaborate and pressure feed the material. Apparently they are used for epoxie, paste solder, wax and other materials. I might try one of the cheaper syringes and let you know how it turns out.
