I took a few pics of the chess guys before sending them off to Minnesota.

Here they are. Black's a better background than woody orange and yellow, eh? :D

    Wendy, very nice.
Is this the chessset that was on display at the MFCA?
By the way it was good seeing you.

    Cheers

Hiya Roc. Yes, this is the same chess set. A couple folks had commented on how far away the previous pics I had posted of them were, so I figured I'd post some closer shots.

It was great to meet you and your wife at the show. :)

Hi Wendy! In case you don't remember, we've me and spoke at MFCA a couple years ago in the hospitality suit. Um, can I ask... did you sculpt those? I know that you've been doing a little putty work here and there and I'm just wondering if you've progressed thus far with such a great job in such a short amount of time.
    Thanks in advance

Hey thanks guys! I'll be seeing some of you in Chi-town.

I remember you, John. :) These figs were made by an Irish company name Mithril. Well, the spider is a conversion. Their Mirkwood spider was too small and too insect looking for my Biology degree self, so I tweaked it a bit to make it more imposing and suitable to be called Shelob (and more like an arachnid).
