Here's Phoenix's Cheerleader painted in the cheap Delta acrylics you can buy at Michael's. I wanted to try some paints I already had before I break down and buy some proper figure painting acrylics. I'm not sure this is an improvement over the oils though.

Now looking at these photos, I think I need to go back and touch up the hair some...

James, even with cheap acrylics you've achieved an excellent result, great skintones.

I see a cult for these miniatures on the woman's hand again to You, too, and reminds us that the miniatures not have martial character!
    Bravo!!

Very cleanly painted, James. Are the colours for a particular team?

Thanks for the comments, I do appreciate them! The colors aren't for any team in particular, but I must have been subconsciously thinking of the Cowboys.

Very nice. The skin is great. Dare I ask brush or airbrush?

Cowboys inspired, huh? Uncle Jerry is probably going to hit you up for some royalties...

    Cheers,

This one's all brushed. I haven't used an airbrush for years since I quit doing plastic and went to figures and paper models only. I hated cleaning those things!

Excellent job, James! Yours is even better than the one Phoenix used in their catalog, back in the day. I don't think you need to get rid of the craft store acrylics at all.

    Prost!
