    Hello folks,
just finished my chasseur and i am really happy with the results. It took me almost a month but i think i did a decent job at it .
I used different yellow shades for the plume and collar since they are "built" from different material.
the greens are some experiments with different tones and end up using Vallejo military green as a base ,added yellow for lights and black for shadows.
    Here are the mixes :
Hat : German grey and a dab of medium flesh.
lights , Base + yellow ochre
    Shadows, Base + black

Flesh: Base of burnt umber and tiny dab of yellow.
    lights, base + english uniform
Shadows, base plus german camo black/brown

coat: Citadel Fenris Grey , andrea sea blue and dab of royal blue.
Lights, base plus fenris grey, last lights used a mix of light purple and sunny skintone
shadows, base plus dark sea blue and las t shadows used black.

    Pants and vest: Deck tan
lights, base + white, last lights almost pure white.
shadows, base + stone grey and last shadows used german grey
Gaiters: white and a dab of neutral grey
    Lifhts , base + white
    Shadows, base plus german grey

Another beautiful piece.... I really like the colours and details on the jacket. Great job on the African skintones as well.

    What's next for you?

Thanks Derek , yes, i am very happy with the outcome of this figure and i am glad i could at least portray the black soldiers from the islands that somehow contributed to the end result of the American War of independence.
    Best regards

thanks Marc! , i think the light setup on the camera did not help much seeing the entire face but i am happy with the skincolor and i think i found a way of stay with these colors as a reference for African skin.
    Thanks for passing by.

Very well done, Daniel. I like a lot your painting work and the previous scratch build work for this figure.
The ground work is very fine too, except for the vegetation at the right side of the man. I think you should paint it, because it has an obvious plastic look.

Nice work! The painting looks very precise and the colours realistic.
Will it be a stand-alone piece or part of your diorama(s)?

this is going to be a stand alone piece since the size is slightly larger than the ones i have for the diorama.
