    Hi at all,

this small diorama it’s showing the end of the charge of The Light Brigade at Balaclava
The 17th Lancers and the others soldiers were create over some transformed spare parts and I did all details like: lance, sword, water bottle the horse is a transformed Airfix and all equipments are added hand made. The 11th Hussar uniform details were sculpted completely. Hand made is also the colback, the bandolier, hands and sword. The Historex horse was transformed in many parts: like neck and legs and over him I sculpt the campaign equipments, the bridle, saddle, the horsehair, blanket, and tail. The Russian soldier creation is a Gunner of the Light Battery Nº 12 Horse Artillery
    Th gabion is from Andrea
I used acrylic Vallejo for the soldiers and horses were painted with oils and acrylic.

I’ll appreciate and welcome all yours comments

    Adriano,
When I saw this & you explained that you had used a converted Airfix horse, it brought back fond memories for me of reading the late great Sid Horton's series "The Charge of the Light Brigade" in Airfix Magazine in the 1970s. All the figures he produced for that series were radically converted from the Airfix 54mm 11th Hussar, including the horses. A truly remarkable diorama you've produced there, excellent piece of work! Thanks for sharing.
    Regards,
    Chris.(y)
