    Hi Pfer's,
I'm making life a little hard for myself by tentatively starting another sculpting project whilst having other ones on the go, but I'm a sucker for punishment.
I came across a delightful illustration by Rick Scollins of Lieutenant's Chard and Bromhead at Rorke's Drift.
I felt so inspired by this superb picture, and the fact I'd like to produce an Anglo Zulu War project (sorry Richie), that I needed have a go at sculpting it.
It's approximately 1/16th scale, both heads are complete, and I'll tackle Bromhead (seated) first.
    Thanks for looking :)

    Love it, well done!
To help differentiate between them a little more, you might consider changing one of them to be holding his pistol instead of a rifle. Cheers

I like the idea of chard having his pistol.

I was at a model show last year which was held in a museum and came across this display.

Sorry mate, you've missed by a mile with this one, these look nothing like Micheal Caine or Stanley Baker! :D Excellent work so far! This is already looking excellent, are the helmets pieces you had sculpted earlier? Keep up the good work.
    Scotty.
Ps, Can anyone identify the pistol? Is it an Adams?

    Hi Jason,

Thank you, glad you like it so far and thanks for the suggestion, I have been thinking about it.

From my standpoint as to what the scene is about, both look to be in a reflective moment after the battle. If Chard were to have his pistol drawn, to me it wouldn't match the situation.

    Regards
    Chris.

That's a nice picture Malcolm, thanks for the suggestion, though I've decided to stick with the illustration for the above reason I gave Jason.

Thank you very much Scotty, I'm sorry I didn't do this historically accurate Lol. Wonder how Stanley and Michael would've looked with beards? Wasn't Stanley in the Guns of Navarone with a beard? Maybe they could be optional head's that come with the kit ;)

As for the helmets, I sculpted these with the head's all at the same time in one piece.

    Cheers
    Chris.

Great work so far watching with great interest. I think the reflective scene will work very well indeed. Keep it up.
