Hi Graham

Great to see a CGS release and a big scale as well , can't go wrong with the subject and the details look sharp as I am sure the casting will be

Look forward to seeing a painted version

Thanks for sharing

We all know Carl as a top sculptor!

But at 1/6 scale I would expect more attention to details.

I give three examples:

The face plate of the bearskin hat had an embossed all-round edge - ALL models that were available during the 1st German Empire!

The model before 1809 ...:

The model between 1809 and 1811 ...:

And the model 1812 ...:

Unfortunately, this border is missing at the bust's bonnet au poil!

It is similar with the side tassel hangings of the hat (cordons raquettes)

There are excellent templates to have ...

... why didn't you take them?

The buttons of the uniforms had an imprint - for enlisted men...

... as well as for officers ...:

On the other hand, the buttons on the bust are smooth...:

As I said, with small scales I would have absolutely no problem with that!

But on the large scale 1/6 of one of the most famous units in history, well documented like no other, I have one ...

Sorry for my rivet counting

No problem, I know we cannot please everyone, at present the plate has been tweaked slightly, the edges of the plate are under the fur exactly as a Le Cimier piece but there is now a rim at the bottom and some other amendments. It has been well received by most and the tweaks have finished it off, I am confident customers will like it and I will always do my best to ensure a customer is happy.
Best wishes

Many thanks to those that have ordered and now despatched.
Still time to place an order and any before 20 Dec UK will be delivered for Christmas.
Please see new images of bust with slight changes, all customers receive the new amended cast.
Best wishes
