The old version is a little bit smaller so the part fit but looks smaller

I think you would be happier with both the same ....but nothing to say one wasn't replaced after being lost by the centurion

You could paint the new addition up and see again

When painted it may not show so much, but I agree with Nap, think you would be happier if both were
    the same.

Great news that you are continuing the thread.

Nice to see as well that Talant has started putting some labels back on his boxes again to give these premier products he produces the finished look they deserve rather than the 'no more box' China re-pops appearance by just sending them in plain unmarked cardboard boxes as my last 2 pieces arrived from him (this same figure and the 90mm mounted samurai).

Look forward to seeing what you do next on this fabulous project.

I think that when finished and placed on that marvelous base you have prepared, not a single person on the world will notice that one cheekpeace is slightly smaller. These were preindustrial days when every piece of equipment was done by hand so there is plenty of room for small size variation between pieces of equipment.Of course being the perfectionist you have shown yourself to be there is absolutely no reason why you should not try going for both cheekpieces being identical.Either way I am most eager to see your exceptional creation finished.

I speak today with Talant S and he will send me again the part! So I will wait for the new parts!!!

Until the parts arrive and also the wooden base for the next project ( The Sacking of panama) I will try to paint a fantasy bust from Nick Tsouhlos

That face is superb as is the metal finish. An Imperial Italic helmet would have been good as well.
