These are the 2 Celtic warriors, Elite and Time Machine that I will be doing a vignette with. The Time Machine is this one and today i did the pants with drybrushing. Tomorrow the clear flat and start the verticle stripes.

A Ken Thomas base will hold both of the Celtic Warriors. It is about 1/2 way finished and the next pics should show the Elite Celt mounted.

    Good work, Guy! (y)

Skin tones here are good too, what oil mix do you use for caucasian skin?

Thanks Johan, The bases are usually Ken Thomas as I have been buying from Ken for years since I met him at a decoy show in Ocean City Maryland years ago. Hard to beat his bases.

The color mix is seen on the Ashgashru Samurai and an example is shown when I painted the Celt.
The flesh is a "right out of the book" technique verlinden published years ago and I have only modified it when seeking a real fair skinned figure. I use a loose leaf page protector for a pallette and mix 20% burnt Sienna with 40% yellow Ochre with 40% raw umber. This is applied over a Humbrol base coat of #121. It is then drybrushed off while wet where the base color humbrol shows through on the highlight areas (nose, chin, brows, cheeks, etc.) next yellow is added to all the highlighted areas and sets for an hour. It is then lightly drybrushed off (again with a clean dry brush) over the highlighted areas. Next i add white to the same areas I used yellow and this sets for an hour. I then drybrush tis off ( using dry flat brushes) . My final touch is red to the lower lip and possibley to cheek areas and muscles of the body. (The red is used at a minimum). I then let the figure dry under a 60watt bulb, while under a dome to keep dust off.

    Thanks Richard,
I am not sure of their exact palcement but due to each's pose, they will not be looking at each other. I plan to have the Elite Celt on top of the wall and the TM Celt down and to the right.

    Thanks Richard,
The Elite Celt is the only one who will have a sheild and I brought it up from the former thread.

    Looks great Guy!

Going to be a super little vignette! What colors are the next set of stripes going to be? Keep it up!

Nice effect on the boss Guy, and suitably gaudy .... I read an article once that said that celts were very showy, always rememebr it when I see dark earthy colours (mind I don't know how accurate it was).
