Its been a while since I have posted anything......and a long while since I did any serious painting. But after a summer away from the brushes I managed to finish Pegaso's 75mm Celtic Chieftain last night. I took some photos last night and was not satisfied with them so I re-took them this afternoon. He is mounted on a Ron Sander's Base.

All comments welcomed. Thanks for looking.

Wow! Just beautiful Guy...everything about it is A+. One of my favorite subjects, too.

I enjoyed looking at it. Excellent composition with the base and great painting. I really like it. BTW, one of my favourite subjects, too.

Thanks guys for all of your kind words and comments. The Celts are indeed one of my favorite subjects too.

This is a very fine figure and you have done a very fine painting on it !! I like the colour choices and the mantle is particularly beautiful in my opinion with an excellent choice of gray.

Man, those trousers and the shield designs are excellent! I already told you that I think the cape well done also; great figure Amigo. Good to be back, no?--:D

Nice painting Guy, I like the overall colour scheme you have used especially the stripe pattern on the trousers.
Cheers

Great looking piece Guy, good ground work, but I am a little worried by the slight leaning of the figure is this fixable, other than that good to see you back in the driving seat so to speak.

Dave

I noticed that too Dave. Only at one angle do you really see it. Not fixable except to try to unfasten him from the base at the risk of doing more damage that its worth.

Great work, Guy.
A figure and a ground work are Superb.
The idea of a ground work is wonderful.
I congratulate completion.

Excellent work my friend! Love the colors, the fish on the shield and the ground work sets the perfect tone. Well done!
