Cavalry - Dragoons

The mounted trooper is from a Prussian Dragoon Regiment Nr. 26, M1910 uniform, M1895 pickelhaube with field cover and brass-scaled chinstrap, KAR 98A carbine, M1889 cavalry sword. The photo was supposedly taken in Saarburg in 1915.

I have my doubts about the "pre-war" Dragoon uniform. I picked the photo up from an auction site. Beautiful uniform, but it shows almost no wear for being over 100 years old. I think it must be from a re-enactor.

Some of these threads will have lots of images and some, like this one, few. In my web stumbling, I just haven't found many photos of WW1 German Dragoons.
