Started some days ago a new project, Alexandro Models, 1/10.
Searching for differed colours and patrons to create something else.
Still a long way to go with a lot of detail work to do

    Looking good (y)

In my quest for patterns I came across the attached which may help. They're large pdf files so can't post here but can get them to you via Dropbox?

Otherwise there's loads on t'internet, eg:

Also. may I refer you to my suggestions to Olga:

Hikimayu: plucked eyebrows, replaced by smudges on the forehead

    Ogahuru: blackened teeth

Oshiroi/eri-gashi: oshira being the white face makeup nowadays associated with Geisha and Kabuki but once universal amongst the aristocrats: the eri-gashi are the stripes left unwhitened at the nape of the neck (said to be erotic)

Amasogi/osuberikashi: variations on straight, long hair as worn in pre Edo times

Perhaps not modern or western ideas of female beauty... but fits with the Japanese concept of bijin

    Hi Jan,

I'm intrigued to know why you have given her blue eyes?

    Bill
  5. Jan A Fixture

Thanks for the comments, i' will change the colour of the eyes.
I have painted the face just in a creative phase not thinking about ethics and reference to anything.
for the patterns i will use a mixed from the things Olga has used on her figures, but will never reach the same skill.

    Hi Jan

This is a really nice paint , do like the sleeve detailing

Nice colour palette on the clothing

As for the cat ..I like the colour but perhaps you have doubts as it's quite close to the colour around neck of the clothing

You might like to lighten the cat more or add more white areas or have it darker or maybe black and white

    Thanks for sharing the updates

Look forward to more when possible

    Happy benchtime
