This is my take on Union hero Captain Hubert Dilger.
Born in Germany Captain Dilger of the 1st Ohio Light Artillery won the congressional medal of honour in covering the Union retreat from their defeat at Chancellorsville.
Later his daring tactics at Gettysberg heped slow the Confederate breakthrough on the Union right flank

The figure is largely scratchbuilt from magicsculpt with a modified historex head and horse

I think you have captured the likeness of "leather breeches" quite nicely

Nicely sculpted and painting. Great job.

Pedro I here what you say about the dapples but I did look at quite a few pictures of dapple greys, on some the dappling is subtle, on some quite pronounced
