    Hi all,
Here are some pics of my early WIP on this magnificent Captain Garfio bust by Spira Mirabilis. Sculpted by the super talented Lucas Pina. At the moment both the face and Bandana are about 95% done, beard and hair about 80% and the white jacket still has only a rough sketch in color. All painted using acrylics. All comments are more than welcome.
    Cheers,

    Gino

Great work, the colour in his cheeks and the way you painted his eyes brings out all the character of the sculpt.

    Hi Guys,

Thank you very much for your nice comments. As it's difficult for me to go to shows or meetings the internet is about the only source I have to know what people think of my work, so thanks a million!

@Terry You don't happen to have a copy of the Baba Yaga bust by the same brand? If so and if you're willing to sell it please let me know as I'm looking for one for a couple of years. I'm prepared to pay really good money for it!

@Edorta Indeed, I'm going to try to paint to paint a green-blueish light effect on the back, like a light reflection of the see or so. Or maybe some weird flora, like magic mushrooms?

I'll keep you updated as I progress on this magnificent bust. As this is very early WIP, many things can still go wrong, ahhh the stress, the stress ;).

Be safe all guys and try to make the best of these troublesome days, maybe do some extra modelling!

    Cheers,

    Gino
